Um ... when I get back!

Very good. Part of the issue between mission, attraction, and family, is that the LEADER is only good at one and maybe two, and leaders define ministries too often. Churches in America are very leader centered and committee driven (or controlled).

We should be leader and gift driven, I think. Many times one leader is supposed to be the mission and the attraction and the family generator. We put his picture over everything and think he's supposed to be Mr. Do it All.

I'd like to see a fellowship where the pastors are shepherds (where they lead smaller groups, like house churches in order to build family), prophets and teachers reveal the Christ of the scriptures lifting Him up so all will be drawn to Him, and the evangelists drive the Body OUT to do something in the community.

This takes a leadership TEAM, like a body of elders or bishops that the scripture talks about, and the true fuction of the Body.

Good thoughts. Be encouraged. The old wineskin is ready to bust. Sometimes I can feel the tension ...

Peace.

Good thoughts! Sorry it took me so long to read it, but I really enjoyed what you said, and you know that I totally agree with you!

Now that the topic of being Jesus to "the least" has come up again, when are we going to start our singing stuff in the detention center?
:)
